Althea Seloover

Hi, I'm Althea. I am a poet, a relational map-maker, a story teller, an advocate, an abolitionist, an investigator, an entrepreneur, a creative thinker, a hope holder, a griever, a dreamer, and a friend.I do prisoner liberation, self-parenting & life history investigation work in the world. Want to connect? Find me at the links below:

My work in the world is about getting free –

I learned early on that getting free is as much about meeting & relating with oneself as it is about logistically escaping an oppressive structure or system.I work with incarcerated people & people in the community who are looking to map into and/or beyond the current moment, the current structures, and the current systems in place.Interested in working with me? Please send me an email, get in touch on Instagram, or swing by our booth at Whiteaker Market in Eugene, Oregon (May-September).

Disobedient Goods

A few years ago I dreamed up this little business when I needed to shift how I do my work. I envisioned a way to offer the tools, frameworks, & little affective sparks I've brought to my work for a decade, without having to be there in person every time – a way to seed my work, if you will – and here we are!At Disobedient Goods, we sell lovingly judgment & agenda-free sticker tools for self-guided practice, discovery & mapping. Products are made in-house, in small batches & made-to-order, using a simple two-tone thermal printer & digital design tools.
